Low-Pressure Cup Watering System
Cups require a source of water at a pressure of less than 5 lbs. P.S.I. which is provided by a pressure reducing valve or by gravity tanks placed less than 5’ above the drinkers. Each cup can handle up to 40 birds. The cup system is the most sanitary watering system available. Cups have a spring-loaded trigger stem for positive shut-off of water. Water flows only when the bird’s beak is in the cup. There are no messy wet spots as with nipple drinkers. 4085 cup is pictured with the 4084 bracket which must be purchased separately. 4085 can also be used with the 4087 bracket. |

2500, 2525, 2550 Automatic Water Founts General FAQs and Tips
Unit must be hanging to work correctly.
Unit is adjustable to adjust the fill level of the bowl. When the nut is all the way up, water fills the bowl more and shuts off the latest. When the nut is all the way down, water fills the bowl the least and shuts off the soonest.
Troubleshooting Guide
User complains that unit overflows.
Is the unit hanging? When not hanging the valve never shuts off and bowl will continuously overflow. Suspend unit and try again. If unit is hanging and still overflows have the nuts on the stem been adjusted? Make adjustments and try again until desired fill level is achieved. Does the valve open and close when pushed with a finger? If not, then valve needs to be replaced with 2506 using tool 2518.
Unit won't fill.
The valve is broken, corroded, or something is blocking it from moving. Replace valve and try again. Screen at the top of valve stem is blocked and water can't flow to fill the bowl. Clean or replace screen. |
